Frequently Asked Questions About Our Cremation Plans
Answers to the questions people ask most before choosing a plan.
Once your plan has been running for 24 months, the funeral goes ahead with nothing more to pay, as long as your payments are up to date. If you die within the first 24 months (other than in an accident) and your payments are up to date, your family can choose to pay the remaining balance so the funeral goes ahead, or we’ll cancel the plan and return the money paid. Full details are in our terms and conditions.
Yes. You can cancel for a full refund within 30 days of your plan’s start date if you pay in full or over less than 24 months, or within 24 months if you pay over 24 months or more. After that, you’ll get back what you’ve paid, less a £99 cancellation fee.
The fees for the services included in your plan are guaranteed, so your family won’t pay more for them when the time comes. Anything not included, such as flowers or catering, would be paid for separately. Our terms and conditions set out the few exceptions, such as a change in the law or tax.
There’s no charge if you pay in full, or in monthly instalments over 24 months or less. If you pay over more than 24 months, an instalment fee of 6.5% a year, calculated on the original plan price, applies from month 25 onwards.
You need to be a UK resident aged 18 or over. There’s no upper age limit if you pay in full or over 24 months or less. If you pay over more than 24 months, your final payment needs to be made by your 80th birthday.
Yes. Money paid towards your plan is held in a ring-fenced trust. Plan With Grace Limited is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), reference number 961832, and eligible plan holders are protected by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS) up to £85,000 per eligible person, per firm.
No, your cremation plan can stay the same regardless of where you choose to move within Great Britain. We will work with a local funeral arranger to carry out your cremation when the time comes.
