How to prepare for someone’s death

There will be lots of things to think about, so talking to family and friends can bring peace of mind they know what your wishes are.

Some things you might want to consider are:

• Research which trusted provider you’d like to make your arrangements with
• Who will be your appointed Next of Kin
• Have you left a Will?
• Have you got your Estate in order?
• Think about saying ‘Goodbye’ to your loved ones
• Have you got all the help and support you need around you – carers, family and friends
• Make sure your family, friends or carers have the contact number and details of your funeral plan
• If you have any dependents, have you made arrangements for their ongoing care?
• Have you made arrangements for any pets that may need to be cared for or re-homed?
