Our Newcastle Funeral Services

We offer a range of funeral services in Newcastle, all delivered with care, professionalism, and compassion. Our team will explain what your funeral plan covers, helping you make an informed decision that’s right for you and your loved ones.

Cremation Services

Arranging a cremation involves coordinating with various parties, but you don’t need to manage it yourself. We liaise with West Road Crematorium and Newcastle Crematorium, handling all administrative requirements. You tell us what kind of service you’d like, like the readings and music, and we take care of the rest. Please note that not all funeral plans include these features.

Pre-Paid Funeral Plans in Newcastle

Many people find comfort in planning ahead. Our pre-paid funeral plans let you make decisions now, at today’s prices, giving your family one less thing to worry about. You choose exactly what you want, and we record every detail to ensure your wishes are respected.

At-Need Funerals

If you need to arrange a funeral following a death, our team can provide compassionate, expert help throughout the process. We can discuss the available options and help coordinate arrangements when there may be a lot to think about. Depending on your chosen arrangements, an at-need funeral may include an attended service, cremation or direct cremation.

Direct Cremation

A direct cremation is a cremation without a ceremony or mourners present. It’s the simplest and can be the most affordable option. The cremation takes place at a set time, and the ashes are returned to you afterwards. Many families choose this so they can hold a separate memorial in their own time and in their own way.

Our Customers say...

"From the moment I contacted Funerals with Grace I felt at ease and assured. Every step of the way they helped, reassured and made what is a hard process that much easier."

Yes, you can pre-arrange a funeral in Newcastle with a pre-paid funeral plan. Planning in advance lets you record your funeral wishes, choose your preferred arrangements, and give your loved ones greater peace of mind.

Arranging a funeral in advance can provide peace of mind by making your wishes clear and reducing the decisions your family may need to make later. Other benefits include the opportunity to consider your preferences and funeral wishes at your own pace.

Some requests may fall outside the set plans and could involve an additional cost. This can include certain flowers, catering, stationery or other personal requests. We’ll explain any additional costs before confirming arrangements.

The plan paperwork will depend on the funeral plan you choose. Our team will explain the documents and information required and can answer any questions you have by phone.

A pre-payment funeral plan can cover key funeral costs and services, including a standard coffin, cremation fees, collection of the deceased and support from a dedicated Funeral Arranger.

Depending on the plan, it may also include the choice of crematorium, service date and time, readings and music, and the return of ashes. We also include bariatric support and removal of medical devices as standard, at no extra cost.

Some items, such as flowers, embalming, orders of service and catering, are not included as standard. Your chosen plan will set out exactly what is covered and any costs that need to be paid separately.

Deaths must normally be registered within five days. If you have not received an email after the necessary paperwork has been issued, you can contact the Register Office for advice. The process and timescales may differ where the Coroner is involved.
